Lach-Space — an exercise in constructing a relativistic theory of emergence

Date: 30 October 2026

A monograph, proofs companion, PRL/PRD drafts, supplements, reviewer exchanges and a full proof battery, published whole while the work is in progress.

“I am doing research in public.” That decision means the move from a clean final paper, the kind a journal expects, to the whole workbook landing in the open, errata and false starts included.

This is not a polished product. It is a program that is being worked on, and the publishing of it is the audit. If a step does not close, it stays visible. If an assumption is mine rather than derivable, it is labelled as an assumption. The archive is kept complete precisely so a reader can tell the difference between what is proved, what is constructive speculation, and what is abandoned.

Where to start

Publication tracks (PRD, PRL, supplements)

These sit under 04_Papers/ and are the manuscripts under journal submission, so they are hosted here as source files for reading rather than as rendered pages (KaTeX universes each disagree about notation; the source is the authoritative copy):

Proofs, derivations, and the high-temperature branch

  • Proof and derivation families live under 02_Proofs_and_Derivations/ — rigorous series, beta functions, standard model / QFT / Einstein derivations, continuum limits and causal sets.
  • A separate high-temperature superconductivity application branch lives under 06_HTS/.

The review history, with the disagreements left in

  • Eight review passes and the assembled prep hour are in 05_Workbench/review-passes/.
  • ERRATA_CROSS.md is the cross-referenced list of changes and corrections, which is the one file to read if you want to know what has been found and whether it held.
  • The earlier monograph, outlines and chapter fragments are archived under 03_Monograph_Legacy/; duplicates are kept under 99_Archive/ rather than deleted, so the forensic record is intact.

Nothing was deleted to make this clean. Exact duplicates remain, one-byte placeholders remain, and the archive is in the published tree too.

The full archive

The whole tree is 58 MB and ~985 files, zipped at full resolution as a single tarball you can diff against any published version: lach-space2.tar.gz.

What is not here

The canonical-source map that decides what counts as canonical is 00_Index/canonical-sources.md. The move manifest and organisation review behind the reorganised layout live alongside it.
